Establishing KCMB
On Monday (January 26), a new company, Carpathian Scientific and Research Center, LLC, was established.
This is an innovative research center established by higher education institutions, namely the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and the Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Kraków. The main objective of the newly established company is to consolidate the intellectual, human, and infrastructural scientific and practical potential of the Partner Universities, as well as to develop innovative scientific products, commercialize them, and introduce them into industry.
The signing of the agreement was preceded by a meeting between a delegation from Ukraine, led by the Rector of IFNTUNiG, Prof. Dr. hab. Eng. Igor Chudyk, and representatives of AGH: Vice Rector for Cooperation, Prof. Rafał Wiśniowski, Ph.D., Eng., and Prof. Mariusz Łaciak, Ph.D., Eng., Dean of the Faculty of Drilling, Oil, and Gas at AGH.
The meeting was also attended by the Management Board of the new company: Prof. Jan Ziaja (AGH) and Prof. Oleg Vytyaz (IFNTUNiG). The shareholders of KCMB are special-purpose entities of both universities. The Scientific Council is headed by the Rector of AGH, Prof. Jerzy Lis, Ph.D., Eng., and the Rector of IFNTUNiG, Prof. Igor Chudyk, Ph.D., Eng.
