Center for Knowledge on Accessibility in Adult Education and Innovative Assistive Technologies
The project aims to establish the Center for Knowledge on Accessibility in Adult Education and Innovative Support Technologies at AGH (CWD), integrating the knowledge and expertise of the Faculty of Humanities (WH), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering (WEAIiIB), and the Accessibility Department (DDo) at AGH.
The Krakow Center for Innovative Technologies INNOAGH sp. z o.o. is a partner in the project, which aims to support the creation of an information and consultation point (PIK) and the preparation of materials to increase the accessibility of services and technologies in the Socio-Economic Environment (OSG), as well as expanding the offering to include consultations and advisory services on the use of materials that enhance the accessibility of services and technologies, targeted at teachers, trainers, and external educators (who are not AGH employees), and staff at training centers. PIK will disseminate knowledge about accessibility and promote the universal design of products and services so that they can be useful to the widest possible audience.

Project Objective
The Center will promote and develop knowledge regarding accessibility in the field of adult education, the creation of new assistive technologies in accordance with universal design principles, and best practices and standards implemented by the academic community. CWD will contribute to building an inclusive society and developing accessible technologies, while strengthening AGH’s position as a leader in accessibility within CWD’s areas of specialization.
The project will include the following activities:
• Consulting on accessibility and universal design, particularly in services and adult education.
• Consulting on the development of technical solutions and products that support accessibility for people with disabilities.
Target audience
The project is aimed at:
• the AGH community – increasing the involvement of research and teaching staff in activities supporting accessibility,
• individuals, including: teachers, trainers, and external educators (who are not AGH employees), employees of training centers cooperating with, among others, the Provincial Labor Office,
• representatives of businesses and socio-economic institutions responsible for implementing accessibility strategies,
• representatives of non-governmental organizations and institutions working on inclusion and accessibility,
• people with disabilities (PWD) outside the AGH community.
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund under Measure 03.01 Accessibility of Higher Education of the FERS.
